...my friend Sara found this blog. The blogger has a very similar writing style to mine, with the added bonus that she posts a ton of pictures of her journey through breast cancer. It was great to read about her reconstructive surgery, her radiation (check out THOSE pix...yikes!), and she confirmed what someone else has already warned me about. I have rushed through this whole journey and truly don't think I've stopped to really feel my emotions. I am mentally preparing myself for the PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) feelings of depression that may hit once this is all over. For those of you near and dear to me, BOLO (be on the lookout) for this and flag me if you see me downward spiraling!!
I love it. Just became one of her "followers."

Thank you Sara!!
p.s. I have been meaning to post a really good quote from one of my favorite authors (Paulo Cuelho) I found which I think perfectly applies to my journey and which somewhat explains my approach and attitude: "When we least expect it, life sends us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back."
Thank you Sara for finding the blog. Very inspirational. Ro, see you Wednesday
