After waiting for over 6 weeks, my surgery date for my double mastectomy and expanders is...February 16, 2012.
I'm in a bit of a state of shock still but glad to finally have a date to work through and start emotionally preparing. I will admit, I'm pretty darn scared.
Mom will be taking off 2 weeks to take care of me, I told my job I'm out from 2/15/12 through 3/18/12, and for at least the first week, Tripod, Jason and I are moving in with the Adars so my mom can better take care of me.
This means that my birthday party will be my last official outing with my breasts as I know them...or, really, with me as I know me, I guess.
